“Clean but need remodeling other than just rooms”

“Staff was friendly, room was clean, hallways are a bit dated. Staff added some perks with complimentary snacks. Lobby and common areas could use some modernization to improve ratings. Perfect spot for visiting U of I.”

“This is the third year we’ve stayed here for events at the college and will be the last. Everything that could be stained, worn or sticky managed to be. ”

“The property was ok for one night. They lack in having a phone, microwave, and refrigerator for the price they charge. ”

“I was not able to check in at check in time which is 3pm. They told me I needed to wait for an additional 1/2 hour. We ordered room service, and we never got it. We tried to put the heat on, it was a bit cold, and there was a nasty/burn like smell so we needed to shut it off.”

“The only positive thing I can say is that this placd was newly renovated and clean. This hotel also engages in price gouging at busy times. Over $300 for a 2-star hotel is insane and I didn’t realize until after we already checked in that prices had gone down significantly after we booked. The hotel is very noisy—the walls/doors must be made out of paper. I got to listen to every word of conversation from multiple rooms as loud as if they were in the room right next to my ear, could hear people...

“The staff while checking in was friendly, but the staff on site while checking out was not in the least friendly; did not even say Thank You. Will not stay here again.”

“Room, beds and linens were clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and good. I had a discounted price plus it was a Monday night so price point was excellent for me.”

“For $1650 for two nights you would have thought this jenky hotel could have at least provided a fridge in my room. The staff was very nice but this hotel is a total price gouger. Do NOT recommend. ”

“Room had issue with air conditioning. Front desk was helpful and moved me to another room where the a/c is fine. They also comped a water bottle for the inconvenience. Appreciate that!”

“Ok hotel but dated. Hallways had lots of scuff marks. The rooms bathtub was in bad shape and the chair had lots of stains.”

“Room was clean. Front desk staff was friendly. Breakfast options were good. Gym equipment could use an update, Treadmill frame was broken but worked. No fans in gym and no towels. It was nice that the hotel had multiple water bottle fillers. Conveniently located near mall, shopping and only a 10 minute drive to U of IL campus. Overall, would stay here again if needed.”
